Smarter Systems. Still Human.

“AI is the tool. Intention is the operator.”

After spending four weeks participating in a hands-on AI certification course, I’m excited to announce that I am now a Certified AI Virtual Assistant™ (CAIVA). 🎉

Honestly, it was a mind-blowing experience.

I built an app for a client. I turned a PDF lead magnet into an interactive dashboard. I created a daily email briefing that gives me a summary of my day ahead. Brilliant. Cool. Time-saving.

Because the training was designed for Virtual Assistants, I wasn’t just learning all about using AI, I learned how to use it in practical, ethical ways that actually help businesses run more smoothly.

What excites me most is using AI to save time, eliminate tasks, and build smarter systems so business owners can stay focused on what they do best.

That said, I also learned about some AI functions that, while intriguing, aren’t something I would personally use in my business or recommend to my clients.

There’s a saying: “Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” I think that that applies to AI, too.

For example, there are AI platforms that can take written content like a newsletter or blog post and turn it into a podcast. The end product sounds like real people having a conversation.

But for me, it misses something important: authenticity.

As small business owners, we ARE our business. Clients choose to work with us because of our expertise, but also because of who we are. They connect with our personality, our experiences, our perspective, and the trust we build over time. Human to human.

AI is an absolute game changer. The key is remembering that we’re still the operator. AI is simply the tool

How I‘m actually using AI

The fun part of this certification was that I wasn’t just learning theory. I was actually BUILDING working systems:

✨ Automations that run while you sleep

✨ Custom AI assistants designed for specific business needs

✨ Systems that give you your time back

So if you’re tired of:

• Being chained to your inbox

• Manually doing the same tasks over and over

• Feeling like you’re working IN your business instead of ON it

• Watching everyone else “use AI” while you’re still drowning in the day-to-day

I’d love to help you figure out what AI could look like in your business. Not the gimmicky stuff. The practical stuff that gives you back your time.

The biggest lesson I took away from this certification: AI doesn’t replace us. It supports us. Used well, it creates more ease, more efficiency, and more time for the work only we can do.

Are you using AI in your business? If so, what’s your favorite way to use it?
